James Grill Cafe - Denham Springs

The place had a strong smoky smell. The food was alright, but the grits were lumpy, and there were more blueberries than actual pancake. I ordered two eggs over medium with bacon and a croissant, but I ended up with a sandwich instead, which was quite disappointing. The waitress took my order down correctly, so it was the kitchen that made the mistake. I didn't want to wait for them to fix it, so I settled for what I got. Overall, it was just okay. On a brighter note, the waitress was really nice, and my grandson enjoyed his meal.

The food is excellent and the servers are very friendly, but I hope they consider improving the seating arrangements.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming! I received excellent service, and the food was tasty. I visited on a weekday around 1:30 PM, and I definitely plan to return.

However, after waiting 10 minutes, one server was checking on other tables, but when she approached ours, I had to inform her that we hadn't been served yet. She had to go fetch someone from the back. The food was good, but I did not anticipate waiting an hour for it. I understand they were busy, but a quick update would have been appreciated. Eventually, I had to let the server know that if our food wasn't out in 10 minutes, we would have to leave due to an appointment. I didn’t mean to be rude, but we had time constraints. Overall, would I want to return? I'm not so sure.

The waitresses are all very kind.
