We ate here late afternoon before boarding train to Fairbanks. I had the chicken sandwich with tots and my husband Philly cheese steak and fries. A lit of food and very good! We also got the chocolate lava cake which was great. Definitely recommend and thanks for being open at that time. Nice shopping area also.
We had dinner our first night at Fannie Q's Saloon. We were staying at this lodge and had arrived earlier in the day. We needed something quick before a photography tour later that evening. Service was quick and the food was great. We both had the Halibut Sandwich. While it was a bit hard to eat, it was very good. We would have loved to return the next evening, but our group wanted to try the Grizzly Burger, which was also a restaurant located at the lodge.
We ate here for dinner one night and had the halibut sandwich and a jalapeño cheese appetizer, which were both amazing! But the real value and tasty meal was definitely the breakfast buffet. Reindeer, sausage, blueberry compote to put on your pancakes, blueberry muffins, scrambled eggs with veggies, etc. In the evening they let you take drinks from the bar and drink around the fire pits out front. An absolute must do!
We stopped in for a late lunch this seems to be part of the Princess Complex, we were warmly greeted and escorted to our table. Milko “Mickey” was our server he had excellent menu knowledge, and was attentive without being over present. I chose the fish chips, my bride went with the cob salad huge . They were delivered promptly and at an appropriate temperature. I was somewhat taken by surprise that the prices here seemed very reasonable considering the resort feel, and the location this was a good value in a nice venue.
