Speed's Pub - Delta

A cool old style pub in beautiful Ladner.  Right on the water it's a good place to grab some lunch on a sunny day.  Being fishaterian, there is only a few options for me but I like the place.

We love Speeds.  Food is delicious and prices are reasonable.  Great view right on the river.  Unpretentious.  This is where the locals go. Much better than Sharkeys.  The shrimp ceasar salad is great.

What a nice pub. I went to speeds pub yesterday for lunch and had a wonderful time. I orderd the halibut fish and chips, it was cooked perfectly cooked and crispy. Came with a large portion and a wonderful view of the Mitchell bay and the river. I would recommend this pub to anyone.

Good fish chips. I always have the fish chips. cooked perfect about 90% of the time. If you are fussy and want something with out this or extra that. you have a 50/50 chance of getting what you ordered. Love the home cut fries though.

The place was packed and service was slow because it seemed only two people were working. The menu was limited but the items on it sounded great. Breakfast is served until 3 and wine is sold by the bottle at a reasonable price. Our waitress Queenie was cheerful and friendly. The food was good both in portion and taste. If you are looking for a cozy small town watering hole this is the perfect place. We will be back again!
