Caffe Luna Rosa - Delray Beach

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years, and it has consistently delivered excellent food. I brought a client for lunch yesterday, and as a result, "Luna" gained another customer. Whether you choose seafood, meat, pasta, or salads, the kitchen truly understands what their customers enjoy.

We used to be regular customers but with lost quality came less frequency to the location. We now reserve to special occasions but this one missed the mark. The server not sure his name cared more about his affections towards the dark haired server than having any personality at our table. My potato pancakes were so hard I couldn’t cut through them and was remarkably disappointed. The hash was over salted but that’s not how I remember it from the past. Server gave a snarky response to our champagne choice. Overall we may find a new spot for special occasions.

We went for dinner again to this excellent restaurant last night, and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by the server with a smile and a few jokes. Our server was excellent; professional and knowledgeable. Toasted bread with a bowl of oven roasted garlic arrived at the table immediately. We ordered a round of drinks and they were all excellently prepared. We elected to order one of each Calamari and antipasto plate as a appetizer. Plenty for four people. The calamari was plentiful and very fresh the antipasto plate came with salami Italia meats, parmesan cheese, olives one bruschetta and hummus. I would have liked to see some crackers with the platter to be able to scoop up the hummus. We ordered fusilli with shrimp in a homemade pesto sauce, delicious, well balanced but a bit short on shrimp. The giant shrimp stuffed with limp crab meat is the best dish the restaurant has to offer; huge, delicious, and a visual masterpiece! The chicken Caesar salad was big with plenty of chicken, I would have liked to see the chicken sliced and incorporated with the salad instead of just big pieces laid on top. Our pasta in Vodka sauce was really good as well. We ended the evening with a chocolate cake to share and it was super moist, super rich and beautiful. Great dinner at one of Del Ray Beach best restaurants!

What a nice place to eat! We enjoyed side walk dining, the food was very good and really appreciated the linens and silverware. Caffe Luna is a popular place and for good reason!

We had a party of eight, plus a toddler, so we ordered a variety of brunch dishes. I tried a special that included half a Belgian waffle, one pancake, and a slice of challah French toast topped with two delicious sauces. The fresh blueberries and strawberries were a delightful addition. Some in the group had omelets, eggs, and other meals, and everyone seemed to enjoy their choices. We did experience a 50-minute wait for a table for eight, as most of the seating was for two or four. The restaurant also had a bar, and parking was available on the street.
