Shoprite Of Delran

The self-checkout experience was unpleasant. The employee loudly insisted on a limit of 25 items or less, even though I only had 24 items. She was rude and dismissive, claiming that this was a common excuse. This cashier, a middle-aged black woman, is consistently unfriendly towards customers. I am a local resident and frequent shopper at this store, but I am now discouraged by the poor treatment I received. Shop Rite in Delran serves a diverse community, and it is important that employees are trained in proper customer service. I am frustrated and will be advising my neighbors and friends to avoid this store in the future. I used to spend a lot of money here, but I will no longer be shopping at this establishment. This is not the first time I have witnessed or experienced this type of behavior from this employee.

My visit to this ShopRite was in the evening, and none of the checkout counters were open. The parking was adequate, but with the winding road leading to the store and multiple entrances and exits, it would likely be more of an adventure during the daytime. The main entrance was closed, so we had to enter through the exit doors. The store was exceptionally clean, with items properly arranged and perishables stored away. The vegetables had just been washed and even the items waiting to be shelved were neatly organized and not obstructing the aisles. The store was well-stocked, mostly with the store brand products. They had everything needed for cooking or baking. There wasn't much need for customer service as only self-checkouts were available. I was able to efficiently scan and pack my items without any issues.

All they seem to care about is making money at the sad Checkers restaurant, especially at the self-checkout. Some of the older women working there were extremely rude - more concerned with taking a break than serving the customers. They should be ashamed of themselves.

This restaurant has a great variety of food options and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The bakery, deli, and seafood department are all fantastic. I have absolutely no complaints - it was a perfect shopping experience overall.

This restaurant has poor service, especially at the self-checkout where workers are not adequately trained to prevent shoplifting. It is unacceptable to stereotype customers. The excessive use of cameras and monitoring is excessive. Instead of hiring an armed guard, they should focus on working smarter. Racial profiling seems to be common at the Delran and Burlington ShopRite self-checkout. It is unfair to assume that only Black people steal. Racism is still present in this establishment. I would not recommend this place, I give it zero stars.
