I absolutely love soul food, but I have to be honest: the chicken here is cooked well and perfectly breaded, but it lacks flavor. I'm not sure if they even marinate it in buttermilk, but it just tastes like basic breaded chicken. The greens had a canned taste, and the mac and cheese really needs improvement. I'm not sure if I visited on a bad day, but this was my first and last time here. I think I’ll stick to Angel's Soul Food instead!

Whenever I'm in DeLand, this is my go-to spot. The ribs, pork chops, and meatloaf are all outstanding. The prices are very reasonable, especially given the generous portions. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Treat yourself and dine here—you definitely won't regret it!

This is a fantastic restaurant! I really enjoy the ambiance, and the food is outstanding. It's going to be our new go-to brunch spot for my husband and me. As for kid-friendliness, they have a great variety of food options for children!
