The food is amazing! The alcapurria was delicious, and the beef empanada is the best I have had in a long while! Both fried to order and tasted so fresh. My husband had the rice with gandules, pernil, yuca and maduros. They offered cuerito, which was crunchy to perfection! Of course I had to taste it all. The owners are also super nice. Many other choices in the menu we could not eat this time so we'll be back soon. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

We “took out” last night Friday 2/10/23. First time here and definitely will not be the last. I have been all over Latin America the food at Lechonera El Barrio was not only great but enough for another meal today.
