Ocean View Grill - DEL MAR

Had cocktails and listened to an outstanding guitar player who filled the air with great tunes.

We did not know this was a restaurant in a hotel lobby. Disappointed in the evening view. They did not have mixed greens so several menu salads were not available. Hubby got blackened Mahi tacos, which he liked. I got the Baja chicken tacos and was not impressed. Oh well! Our last night in Solano Beach was not what we expected. Service was very attentive.

Right on the water — great location. It was a Sunday night, so not busy at all. Our server (Chris) was excellent! Salmon was a little overcooked, but still tasty. Brussels Sprouts were some of the best I've ever had. Overall pleased with our decision to try it out; we'll go back again.

Happened by here driving through San Diego, and found live music, great service and a welcoming atmosphere. We were probably under dressed, but no one called us out on it ?

What a nice surprise! The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. We arrived early and had cocktails by the fire pit with beautiful views of the ocean. The place is a hidden gem! We will definitely be back soon! Great place!
