Chin's Szechwan - DEL MAR

First time I?ve ever had Chin?s. Heard good things so I finally decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. The service was great and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the salt and pepper wings, the honey walnut shrimp and tangerine chicken. Will definitely be ordering again from here soon!

First time dining at Chins and it was excellent! The service was wonderful. We started with the por dumplings and they were the best I've ever had. Then we had the Mongolian beef and the shrimp lo main. The portions were huge and we took home a lot of food. Just as good the next day. Highly recommend!

So disappointed in Chins Szechuan. Chins Del Mar occupies the location of Double Happiness, a longtime local icon of American Chinese cuisine. When Double Happiness sold to Chef Zhu a few years back, the American Chinese menu was augmented with some more exotic and traditional Shanghai cuisine. It was truly delicious! It was heaven... but heaven fell victim to covid 19. When Chins opened, we had hopes for at least a passable local Chinese alternative. We've triedtwice. Both times the food was tasteless, poorly prepared, and without character. The first time, I blamed it on teething issues at a newly opened restaurant. The second time, I just discarded my entree. I've lived in Del Mar fort manyyears. It's so sad to see a restaurant fall from delicious to discardable. I'll not go back.????

Used to be Double Happiness Chinese Food. Chin's is a small franchise out of Escondido, North San Diego . Pretty much same food, newly renovated inside. Prices a bit higher, but, I'll continue eating there and send guests from my hotel.

I am not a fan of Chinese food, but this was amazing! very well presented and healthy Chinese food. will be coming here a lot. You have to try it know what I mean.
