Lothson's Karry Out - DeKalb

This restaurant is renowned for serving some of the best fried chicken in the state. The owner, a 73-year-old lady, has been perfecting her chicken recipe for over 50 years. The restaurant is only open a few times a week, so it's important to check their schedule. I know for sure that they are open on Sundays and Wednesdays from 4:30 to 7:00. One of the secrets to their delicious chicken is using small chickens that are full of flavor. The light breading on the chicken makes it taste exceptional. My favorite dish is the five-wing dinner, which comes with a side of vinegar, coleslaw, and fries. I always try to visit right when they open to ensure the chicken is freshly cooked and the taste is not affected by old grease.

I was happy to find out that this restaurant was still open when I returned to the DeKalb area. I have been a fan of their chicken since I was a child.

It was worth waiting, half an hour ahead. we have 8 pieces of chicken, Pint Coleslaw, Pint by Tater Salat and 4 reels for $15.90!! Wow, great food. great prices. and she takes Visa / mc or cash: next time chkn gizzards and livers mmmm

Extremely affordable and the best fucking chicken you ever have. The service is also friendly and helpful.

I'm a roasted chicken stall... I have tried many chains and one-offs, Lothson's is in my Top 3 and definitely the best in the DeKalb/Sycamore area. Perfectly spiced, crispy outside and delicate inside.
