The Spud - Deer Lake

After reading all the reviews, I was really excited to try the onion rings. Such a letdown. I paid $6.35 $(5.50 tax) for 5 large and crunchy, but very greasy, overly-breaded, flavourless pieces. That works out to over $1.25/ring, and if they'd been at all tasty, I might be less disappointed. However, there was no redeeming value to these onion rings. The place was empty, so there was no busy crowd or overworked staff to make excuses for, either.

Sooo yummy. best place for takeout on the west coast by far :) and it's decorated eclecticly beautiful. would Recommend to anyone in need of wonderful sustenance

Cute little Eatery in Deer Lake across from wonderful groomed ATV trails and serving home-cooked food with reasonable prices. Great, very friendly customer service

Menu is deep fried everything. This is not a sit in relaxing restaurant. Only three small tables or take out. Do not go to the washroom. This restaurant is probably more popular with locals then with tourists. Should have gone to KFC. This is not a 4.5 rated restaurant. No way. Vary rare that TripAdvisor reviewers has ever let us down.

Delicious food. I had fish and chips with dressing and gravy. I ate outside on the patio-a perfect meal.
