Island Pie - Deer Harbor

I had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were fantastic. We tried the Seasonal Squash and Sausage, as well as the Shallot Pizzas. They were both gluten-free and vegan, and absolutely delicious. It was a lovely way to spend a quiet afternoon in Deer Harbor. I would give this restaurant a perfect score for both the food, service, and atmosphere - all 5 stars.

This charming restaurant was a delightful find. When we arrived, we were lucky to be the only customers, allowing us to receive excellent service from the owner. It was a pleasure discussing Lopez's 23 years of living in the area with him. I admire his dedication to his customers, evident in his daily dough-making and use of high-quality ingredients. The ham and pineapple pizza we ordered was delicious, with just the right amount of pineapple. I would definitely return to this restaurant and don't mind paying $12 for authentic Canadian bacon. Delicious pizza and garlic sticks, plus very friendly and personable staff! We will absolutely be back next time we visit. After a day on the water, traveling, etc. sometimes you just want to pick something yummy up to enjoy back at the hotel Island Pie is the perfect place! Open later than almost every other restaurant on the island, and ready within 20 30 mins. We ordered the Cheezie Goodness Pizza and Garlic Sticks with house made ranch on the side all was delicious! Right across from the Deer Valley Marina with a great deck for dining in outdoors with the fam as well! The staff at this restaurant was completely disorganized. They ignored me for 15 minutes and didn't even acknowledge my presence. I ended up leaving without being served.

Vegan options are nice to see and the beet salad was good. More vegan options and some experimenting with different non-dairy cheeses would be even better. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
