Ponko Chicken - Decatur

I ordered a house dinner salad with chicken. The salad was simply a bag of chopped lettuce from Walmart, with no other vegetables added whatsoever. It was the worst salad I've ever had and felt like a complete rip-off.

This cozy spot is a great place to unwind. The chicken tenders are deliciously crispy without being overly breaded. The fries were also served hot and crispy.

I have been a big fan of Ponko Chicken for a while now, and I always order the spicy chicken with ranch dressing. The last few times I ordered takeout, I requested 2 extra ranch dressings. Despite seeing the note on the bag and even confirming with the person handing me the food, I was disappointed to arrive home and find no ranch dressings. Ponko Chicken, please improve your service!

The quality at this restaurant has declined in recent months. The last two times I visited, the rice was not up to par - it was not sticky like usual, and the chicken wasn't fresh. The sweet potato fries were lacking seasoning and were soggy and thick. After multiple disappointing experiences, I have decided not to return to this location due to the decline in quality.

This restaurant is a great spot for lunch or dinner. I highly recommend the chicken, rice, and fries. I would pass on the pickles since they typically come with your meal. The addition of a salad as a side dish really enhances the meal. And don't miss out on the desserts! The red velvet and chocolate cake cups are amazing. The only downside is that they can sometimes be busy and forget to include items in your takeout bag. Be sure to double check before you leave!
