Kafenio Avondale - Decatur

I absolutely adore this charming restaurant! The staff was so friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. If you visit, make sure to try the pommes - they are to die for. The Greek salad was fantastic, and I also ordered a side of gyro meat which was heavenly. The portions were generous and the gyro itself was incredibly flavorful. I also asked for extra sauce, which was a fantastic addition to the meal. Overall, a great dining experience!

The staff at this restaurant were very pleasant. I initially stopped in for coffee assuming it was just a coffee shop, but was pleasantly surprised to find they also offered food, including breakfast all day. The lady at the front was friendly and helped me choose the right type of coffee. I usually only drink coffee at certain places, so I was impressed that she made it just the way I like it. My partner enjoyed his meat omelet, though the biscuit was a bit dense. Overall, the food was good and the portion sizes were generous. I would definitely return to try other items on the menu.

This place is amazing. Nice outdoor eating space with friendly staff and good service. The food was delicious and fresh with a great deal of solid menu options. The coffee is the best— would highly recommend the “Greek Coffee”. We will definitely be returning here.

Overall, the restaurant was good. I would recommend trying the sangria or a sweeter wine. Everything else was great as well. The flavors were excellent and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The potatoes were especially delicious.

I called tonight and it was incredible! recently went vegan and looked for somewhere near to try! her falafel wrap with Greek kartoffels are excellent and service is excellent! defined to be a number one for me
