Travel from Pictou County to Shediac quite often, like to have an Ice Cap and Debert is conveniently on the way. Stopped in for my third and FINAL time on August 31,2016 at about 3:00 pm. Reminds me of MacDonalds in Shediac. Gave them the benefit of the doubt the first 2 times but no, their service is the worst ever. About 10 people in line up, one till operating by someone from possibly a nursing home (I presume), just standing there, not taking orders and all the while about 4 or 5 working the drive through, totally oblivious to the customers in line. After 20 minutes finally got to the counter (I waited this long because my wife missed lunch and wanted a snack, figured you would wonder why I was such an idot) placed my order and waited another 10 minutes for the sandwich, during which time all I heard was disgruntled employees complaining about not enough help and when sandwich received no such thing as a word from the employee, almost like you owed her something. Very frustrating experience. Just because they have a kind of monopoly on the coffee franchises and gain great wealth from it, they should take into consideration the people who bring them the wealth.
Friends that we are traveling with could not wait to bring us to Tim Hortons because they were so good. Wow. We're we ever disappointed. Stopped at on in Montreal for a frozen lemonade but they had no ice, so no cold drinks. We stopped at this Tim Horton for dinner and same story. No fries so you can get a donut or muffin with your sandwich. Huh? Whole wheat or white. Oh yeah, we are also out of whole wheat. And out of chicken for your salad. And we might be out of clam chowder. They forgot to give my friend a roll for his soup and were huffy about giving him one when he asked.A guy there told us the quality had gone down and the prices had gone up since Burger King had bought out Tim Horton. Certainly our experience.
The coffee is great depending on what time you get it and who's working. The man who owns the Tim Hortons around here is a real jerk though and some of the staff is rude.
I never thought I would ever give a bad comment about Tims. Have been in them all across Canada, the US and even the one in Dubai. But they ran out of fillings for the required sandwiches (one was on promotion so really should have been stocked) They ran out of wedges. And both of these items i viewed being served to other customers. So I don't know if it was just the assistant at the cash register....But drinks and donuts served very prompt. If you want fast service I would suggest drive thru they had 3 people looking after their needs. There were 2 females on sandwiches and they kept muddling up the orders which when I heard them say what goes with the ham and cheese i quickly informed them what i wanted. Coulda sworn that was what the computer was telling them in front of their faces but hey ho Does not put me off Tims, just this one!!!
