You can easily spend at least two hours discovering everything the museum has to offer. There’s a rotating exhibit space that features new displays, so returning visitors will always find something new to enjoy. With a wide array of exhibits covering topics like agriculture, furniture and housing, car racing, automobile manufacturing, aviation, locomotives, and more, there’s something for everyone. The village area on the grounds can add an extra five hours to your visit, so come prepared for a full day of exploration!
If you're a fan of museums, you'll easily be able to spend a whole day here. There are two delightful cafes on-site where you can relax at your leisure. The exhibits are well-maintained, although the admission fee is somewhat high compared to other similar museums. If you're interested in a factory tour, make sure to come on a weekday.
There's a lot to see in this museum, and the wait time wasn't too bad when I visited on a Saturday around 2 PM. However, I thought the admission prices were a bit high, especially since many museums I've been to are either free or quite reasonable. The museum wasn't overly crowded, and the layout was easy to follow. I was especially impressed by the vintage cars and the Mathematica section, both of which were very engaging. The aviation history exhibit was also excellent, and I loved the chance to create my own paper airplanes. There’s a lot to do, but I'm giving it 4 stars due to the pricey admission and a café that was a bit disappointing.
Beautiful time had by all. Incredible collection allowing a walk through history. The staff had interesting information and stories to share about the period and life of those during that time. We have a membership. I would suggest a day for Henry Ford Museum and a day for Greenfield Village if you're not from this area. After that, you can choose if you need additional visits.
A very full day of activities. A lot to look at, although some of it seems quite random, but there’s enough interactive spots along the way to keep the kids engaged. The big screen movie was really pretty cool and it’s convenient to be able to eat at the small restaurant there in the middle, which is pretty reasonably priced. The mathmatica area the kids dreaded by name, but ended up being a favorite part.
