Creekside - Deadwood

We decided to visit this restaurant after seeing an amazing breakfast burrito on their Google menu. Unfortunately, it seems that the menu hasn't been updated since the previous ownership. Although the options were limited, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Amy was especially wonderful; she provided us with great information about local attractions. Creekside earns a solid 5 from us, but Google deserves a zero for not keeping their search results current. Come on, Google, let them update their information!

The service was excellent, but the prices were excessively high for the quality of the food. The salad bar was disappointing; the spinach was wilted, leaving me no option but to settle for the packaged iceberg lettuce mix. The ranch dressing was too watery. The turkey melt wasn't actually melted, and everything on it was cold except for the bread. The coconut shrimp were decent, but they clearly came from a frozen package. The margarita was enjoyable, and the fries were alright. I'm sure there are better dining options in Deadwood. I won't be coming back here.

The service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes just to place our order, and after another hour, we finally decided to leave. They still charged us $6.00 for two coffees and a donut. The staff wasn’t short-handed; it just seemed like everyone, from the manager down, was completely lost. I will never return, and neither will the five others in my group. There are plenty of other restaurant options in Deadwood, but this one really should consider closing down.

They served us good food with quick and friendly service on a very busy day in Deadwood. I had their take on the classic Monte Cristo, which was most enjoyable. It's not battered or fried, and is served on their own cinnamon marble bread. Good prices and plenty of interesting-looking baked goodies on display.

Riding the hills and stopped by chance at Creekside for lunch. Very pleased. Flame broiled burgers were excellent. Sweet potato waffle fries were mmm mmm good! Price not too bad considering it's in Deadwood. We were seated promptly and our waitress was very attentive.
