I love the Chillli cheese toast, hara bhara kebab, aloo batata, dahi ke scholay are simply superrrrrrr, and how can I forget her pav bhaji and veg shammi kebabs. for non-vegetarians: no one makes machhi patra better than cafe funkie city a must visit restaurant in jlt
What a wonderful experience to visit this beautifully designed restaurant. The theme is just perfect and the interior is mind-blowing also the menu has been perfectly set too. We ordered Butter Paneer Masala and Dal amritsari which we found perfect in taste. We also tried Cheese Kulcha and Cheese naan amazing!! , they were so soft and the best I have had in a while. Well cooked and flavoursome. All in all the food was nice. As delicious the food was, the portion sizes were decent too and price point is excellent. Looking forward to trying out some more dishes soon!! A delightful experience
If I were to give a tagline to this place, it would be just simple…”leave all your worries behind, come and chill with us” That’s the vibe of this place, JLT location (they have other outlets too) I got a chance to visit this place during a bloggers event. What a well spent afternoon, Zubin the owner, a perfect host, instantly made us comfortable with his chit chats and ofcourse FOOD was the highlight ! This place is a typical Bombay Parsi café serving authentic parsi and mumbaiya style food. So here you can satisfy your cravings right from Bun Maska to cheesy kulchas, Khaari and chai to Parsi rotli, bhindi crispy to prawn curry and Vada pav to Pizza. You are sure to keep visiting this place for their drool worthy variety of food. The cheesy kulcha and Paneer kulchas are a must try here. We had the Lal Maas which was an absolute hit. The vegetarian gravies Methi Malai Matar and Paneer Makhanwala, you gotta try these as well. The Pulaos and Naans as accompaniments are perfectly made and makes the food journey here totally worth. There were so many things which I was soo tempted to try but practically not possible at one go so I am definitely going here again for completing my must have list of food which I was left craving for. All my reviews are based only after my personal experience of either using the products or consuming/reviewing the food. Cafe funkie town is one of my favorite restaurant now. The good vibes inside, decor and amazing staff will make you stay longer in the restaurant. I was invited to try out their veg meal of course. The colorful food was literally so flavorful. The taste here is superb I tried Amaricano which was outstanding. The food as I said was too good I tried paneer butter masala and dal Amirtsari both top notch and I liked the cheese naan it was simple awesome. I also tried lemon mint which was perfect as I asked for. This place is must visit even they have some good Indian breakfast if you end up visit the restaurant in the mornings. There lots you can eat here as the restaurant is know for their Indian, parsi, street food, kebabs and chinese.
We loved our visit to cafe funkie town some days back and on weekend we tried their delivery as we had some guests over.. used their website to order and got 20% off.. ordering was easy and their website had many options parsi, Indian and Chinese.. we settled for Chinese and chose Hakka noodles, dry Manchurian veg and American chopsuey.. Order was delivered in time and packing was proper.. chpsuey was good portion and the food was shared by 4 adults and one child and it was just enough.. we all loved Manchurian and Veg Hakka noodles combo.. world of caution— Hakka noodles were spicy so my daughter could not eat it.. better inform the cafe if you need no spice.. We found the food good value for money as in less than 100 good lunch was done : Will try their Parsi dishes next time ..
