Thomas House - Dayton

We will definitely be returning to the Thomas House Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was fantastic. Our party of five enjoyed a cozy, rustic room all to ourselves. I had the meat with potatoes and Lima beans, while my husband ordered the fried oysters served with hush puppies and pasta salad. We were treated to some wonderful corn muffins before our meal, which were a delightful start. Other members of our group had the fried chicken along with soup and macaroni and cheese—the soup was thick and flavorful, and the macaroni and cheese was equally tasty. Additionally, the southwestern chicken salad we tried was also a hit. It was a lovely treat after our shopping trip at the Green Valley Bookfair, and we can't wait to come back. It was a truly great culinary experience!

I remember eating in my grandmother's house. Very friendly staff. A little hard to find. You need cash. People who prepare the food. There's no one eating with us who didn't like their food. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the area. Just a simple old place to eat. Probably the best food.

This place is a great mom and pop type of restaurant. Food is great and people are wonderful. The food was served quickly and properly and was well portioned and was plentiful. Our server was very friendly. We will definitely visit next year when we are back in this way.

I enjoyed the vegetable soup and roasted cheese, and I must say, both were absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and incredibly helpful. I can't wait to return soon... and often!
