Sueño - Dayton

...but your vegan food needs some work. I finally have the chance to try Sueño this week after I've heard Rave reviews for months. I have to say I was a little underwhelmed! Let me explain. AMBIENCE: 5/5 Here is GORGEOUS. “ Am I even in Dayton???” Vibes) It's worth a visit just to check the room. Unbelievably decorated, it is completely unstoppable with its cactus wall, magnificent bar and open kitchen. SWOON. SERVICE: 5/5 Efficient, friendly, fast, creepy! The service is top notch during not transfer. VEGAN) FOOD: 3/5 Hmm. Here I was a little disappointed. They do not offer a vegan Prix Fixe menu until April 2022. I called, and the lady on the phone just told me it was seasonal and currently not available. She said a lot of items from the regular menu could be made vegan. Here's what I tried: 1) Guacamole and Chips: 5/5. Your Guac is actually AMAZING. Super fresh and so tasty with the Japanese wort above. 2) Sikil P’ak/ pumpkin seed bath: 4/5. Very good, like a blow, light, creamy. The tortilla chips were delicious, by the way fresh, crispy and carved with lime. 3) Sweet potato tacos/ taco de camote: 4/5. Veganized by leaving the crema. The sweet potato was delicious! charred, smokey, spicy. Small portion size. 4) Papas/smoky potatoes: 0/5. Look at my picture and you'll see what I mean! And I never met a potato I didn't love! Lol) These came black, carburized, super dry and with a non- vegan diving on the side.

Creative cook who works miracles with food. Able for taking vegans. If you want to splurge, call ahead to arrange the vegan Prix Fixe menu. Ours was $65 for what turned out to be 6 courses and one of the best meals we ever had comparable to when we were not vegan and ate at locals like Le Cirque and Mesa.

The chef made me a 4-course vegan dinner that is regularly available to all guests. Make a reservation and let them know you are vegan. The food was incredible and many menu items can be made vegan. VERY VEGAN

The atmosphere is amazing, and the food is excellent. My service was exceptional, thanks to Alton, who was fantastic!
