Smashburger - Dayton

Yummm. Didn't think there could be something better than five guys but this place is it. Have tried the classic burger and dog and the spicy baja burger, amazing. I think this is what EO burger attempted to do with their gourmet burgers and failed. The burgers here are juicy and fresh. I've only tried their regular fries since the olive oil/garlic ones don't sound too appealing. In the fries, five guys has them beat of course but I usually opt for the fried pepper rings instead.

It was good. a smile and friendly people work there.

Grease with a side of grease. The burgers here are messy, gloppy and greasy with little flavor. Can't wrap my head around why they serve up gob-o-grease burgers in a wire basket lined with only a thin piece of paper knowing the river of grease is going to soak through and pool up on the table underneath. Overpriced, low rate food.

I thought it was good.. Not the best but the food comes out fast and its a nice place to go grab a quick bite with the family.

This is what a burger should be. My one complaint is the lower bun: it absorbed all the excess grease from the thick meat patty. Maybe let the patty sit a minute or two on a paper towel to remove grease before it hits the bun. Otherwise this was an impressive burger: huge, fresh, juicy and tasted homemade. In spite of its name, the patty was plump, not pressed or 'smashed ' like the typical fastfood burger. Great pickles too. Friendly staff ,very clean dining area.
