Joy House - Dawei

One of the best restaurants in Dawei. The owner has a 30 years experience in Thailand as a professional chef. We loved every dish we ordered. The location has changed and it was difficult to find it first. New address is 100, Arzarni 4th Road, Dawei.

Small local restaurant with great Thai food at very reasonable prices. Red Curry and Chicken Larb and Chicken BBQ skewers were awesome, as was the Tom Yum soup. Cold draft beer and chilled beer mugs made it even better! Good selection of local and foreign whiskey. Don't mind the duck pond at the back of the restaurant or the condition of the restroom... the food is great and the kitchen is clean. Ate there twice during our 3-day stay in Dawei.

Large eating with huge flavors. huge portions! if they take a suppe not plan to eat more..cheap whisky and very nice fast service!!best in dawei safe and one of the best Thai food ever try...also not expensive..would they come back here every time..eat three days in order.

Really nice place and delicious foods and good service

Great food!! The service was good, the staff was friendly, and the food was the best. We found this place our 2nd to last night in Dawei and came back again on our last night because we liked it so much. The vegetable pad thai (1800 kyat) was delicious, with extra peanuts, dried chili, and fresh chilis in vinegar on the side. The vegetable green curry was amazing (2000 kyat) and the red curry was really good also. One of my favorite foods (in the world) is larb (spicy pork salad). The larb at Joy House (2000 kyat) was the best I've ever eaten. The large bottles of Myanmar beer (2000 kyat) were cold and served with cold glasses. I would eat here again and again if I could.
