They can easily be shared or saved for later. Fresh, exotic, spicy, and local ingredients are combined to create vibrant masterpieces. On my first visit, I tried the Spread the Century Bowl, which included harissa jackfruit mushrooms, quinoa, crispy chickpea baby calf, sumac roasted beet orange, chamoy roasted carrots, and blue sea green bean mint, all topped with a delicious smokey aubergine tahini. It will be hard to order anything else because this bowl was perfection, but there are so many other tasty options on the menu that I will have to visit often to try them all. They also gave us some vegan bread cakes when we arrived, which we took home and found to be exceptional. It is simply the best vegan cake I've ever had. They even had freshly baked sourdough bread available for purchase, which we will definitely get on our next visit. Musette is hands down the best vegan option in Davis and rivals the best I've had in other cities, including San Francisco and Los Angeles.
This restaurant is a long-awaited gem in Davis. Finally, we have gourmet food that is worth the trip. While it's not strictly vegetarian, it does have options. They may convert me one day, but for now, they cater perfectly to my palate and nutritional preferences. The combination of flavors in their dishes is truly impressive and has left me speechless.
I would give this restaurant 5 stars if I could, but unfortunately this website only allows up to 4 stars for non-vegetarian restaurants. I travel frequently for work and have discovered many excellent vegetarian options, but Musette's stands out for their incredible quality and perfectly prepared dishes. I am not exaggerating when I say that their food is top-notch. I am grateful to have this gem in Davis.
Funny, I wanted to make this place five stars, but Happy Cow told me that I can't because the place serves meat. Really? Sure enough, it's deeply buried in the menu... Selection of the opposite, how vegan options are often treated. I built my own bowl and was pampered for excellent decisions. I'll come back, probably a few times before I leave town next week.
This is the place Davis needed for a looooong time. Finally, we have gourmet food at reasonable prices. Although it is not exclusively vegetarian, it can also be. Maybe someday they'll go on. Until then, it serves my palate and diet preference perfectly. The variety of flavors in a single bowl storted my socks!
