Jack's Urban Eats - Davis

The mac and cheese was absolutely delicious. The tri-tip was decent—good, but not exceptional. Unfortunately, I was let down by the side vegetables; the kale was overcooked, wilted, and stringy. The Urban Fries were enjoyable, but I would have liked to see more cheese and spice on them.

The turkey plate was mostly enjoyable. Just a heads up: the gravy doesn't come with the meat, so make sure to ask for it. The dark meat was tender, while the white meat was slightly dry, which is typical for real roasted turkey. The mashed potatoes were tasty, and the gravy paired with them had a homemade flavor. I would have liked a bit more variety in the side salad, as it only contained some greens and carrots. However, the Caesar salad was quite good.

The Lemon Thyme Chicken Plate featured tender, juicy chicken, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes and gravy tasted homemade and were full of wonderful flavor.

Best HOMECOOKED meal I've had in a very long time! I travel 100% for work and I am so incredibly thankful for my stop here in Davis! Love the Oven Roasted Turkey Plate! Huge portions, fantastic juicy turkey and don't get me started on the stuffing!! YYYYUUUUUMMMMMYYYYY!!!! P.S ordering the same thing again tonight!

Fries were cold and soggy. Some fries even undercooked. Horribly overprice!
