Dumpling House - Davis

I requested that all three dishes be pan-fried, but they arrived deep-fried instead. They were quite oily and not what I had ordered. However, the filling was still delicious.

D5. Vegetable Dumplings (12) and W1. Pork Shrimp Wontons (12) are our favorites! We actually drive all the way from Vacaville just to get them. The dumplings at Dumpling House are outstanding. We haven't found a better spot anywhere!

I am quite disappointed. The fried potstickers tasted stale and seemed to have been cooked in old oil, while the shu mai tasted like it was made yesterday and simply reheated under a heat lamp. They used to be much better than this.

You can never go wrong with steamed dumplings but the pan fried option is also great when you want an extra crunch. Food is always exceptional at Dumpling House.

Gave me obviously day old dumplings with no sauce. disappointed as this is one of my favorite places to eat.
