Craving my favorite chicken katsu, pig gyoza tiramisu tantanmen also try a must) alone!
They are somewhat expensive compared to other ramen places that I was, but based on what I ordered, I think the price is appropriate for its quality taste. Although I usually go for ramen, I honestly LOVE her Shishamo Fry, definitely a must meeting! I also like her tantanisms and Beef Gyudon, but the shishamo really hits the point.
Sunahama is a new noodle/Japanese restaurant located at Mabini. It's not hard to spot cause it's right on the road and the complex is actually pretty familiar to fellow Davaoeños. While the place looks appealing and warm, the seats aren't comfortable (unless you're seated at their couch area). But the place is well lit and it's spacious enough for a good number of people to pop in but small enough to where waiters can attend to you ASAP. There's ample parking in the complex so you don't have to worry about that. About the food... it's okay... nothing great. My parents and youngest brother got noodles (tantanmen and miso noodles). The tantanmen has a strong flavor but it was sweet... I didn't like it because I honestly don't think sweet ramen should be a thing. It tasted weird in my mouth (like strawberry medicine). Their miso ramen was NOT miso. It was a strong pork broth (which was good) but it's totally misleading when you read it off the menu. I ordered tuna salad with some sweet dressing and it was good. Price wise... we paid around 150-300 per dish and it was okay... it wasn't lacking nor were they generous about the servings. Final verdict: it's not worth going back to. I would still
This is a quiet place along Mabinit street where you can have a good taste of ramen. They have a wide array of choices, In my opinion, the noodles are well-cooked and ingredients are adequately prepared. You can even choose the spiciness some dishes as well as add your own spice to it like crushed garlic, oil, sesame seeds, soy sauce, etc. Things to improve: Maybe they can lower their prices a bit since it does not compete well with other Japanese restaurants.
