However it respects the layout of the original house, with living spaces in the front and back connected by a central courtyard, and there's lots of antique pieces throughout to appreciate. The lionhead meatball was a good lunch set. The daikon and pork ribs weren't my favorite because I'm not a fan of fried pork ribs in the soup as they end up soggy.
A nice tea house with great location and traditional delicate vibes. 200 NTD for a pot of tea and a couple of traditional snacks is not a bad deal. If you don’t mind serving yourself, spending a couple of hours here with some friends would be pretty enjoyable.
Cool looking place to dine-in, but was very disappointed in the food. The soup was way too salty and others tasted mediocre. For the price of my meal there should be much better tasting food near by. Also the young lady at the cash register seemed a bit impatient and rude when my friend and I were paying.
Loved the traditional tea and dessert a lot, brought me back to my childhood instantly. Lunch set is average good, soup is best among it. Better to call in and make reservation in advance or come in early around the opening hour.
Second time in this ancient and charming place. All the dishes are scrumptious and we all polished off our dinner.
