Stagger Pub & Grill - Dartmouth

Karaoke nights are so fun and the birthday parties are a blast. The food is great and I especially love the all day breakfast. The staff is fantastic and add to the fun! Karaoke is on Friday, Sunday and Monday nights and there is something...happening most nights at Staggers in downtown Dartmouth.

There isn't much positive to say about this restaurant. The tables were dirty, and the salt and pepper shakers were sticky. The place could really use a thorough cleaning from a professional crew, as there was dirt, dust, and grime everywhere. I can only imagine the cleanliness of the kitchen. The staff were friendly, but it's best to dine elsewhere.

For a place named Stagger Pub and Grill it was a nice surprise at the quality of the food. It was actually quite good and I would eat there again anytime. Good tasting, nice portion and the staff was friendly enough. I would suggest a...name change to the place would help it out greatly, in todays world naming a bar Staggers seems to convey irresponsible drinking and serving practices, not somewhere for lunch, a cool drink, date or really anywhere to visit. With CC around the corner having lineups and the bar across the street having a nice deck, the owner/manager should be capitalizing on the other pubs popularity. But I have heard for many people say they are NOT GOING INTO A PUB CALLED STAGGERS. Its is to bad the owner/managers are not into the century. A business name says a lot. A company is not going to send out a company wide email saying lets meet at Staggers. But I have seen many business meet at CC on a Friday for a special occasion. I think the food is on par with other pubs BUT ....... enough said.

Pleasantly surprised with wing night at Staggers. Live music musician playing guitar and singing had great voice and a fine selection of songs. Wings were delicious and price couldn't be beat. Rest of menu looked great. Decent selection if beers. Pool table. Darts. Old...fashioned pub. Could this be the new Neighbours? Possibly. I will definitely go back abd recommend that you try it out. Every night has something special listed on sign inside front door. Saw on Facebook that there was a paint night held at Staggers last week. Times are a changing and Staggers is being rebranded. Downtown Dartmouth is transforming. It's all good!

I suggest waiting for new ownership before trying this restaurant again. On the positive side, they serve cold beer and the staff is accommodating. However, there are several areas that need improvement in order to even reach average standards. They were out of coffee and tea, experienced a power outage, served lukewarm and unexciting food. While a cold beer is nice, a good pub requires more than just that to entice customers to return after a disappointing initial visit.
