Dining at Dear Friend is always a unique experience! I loved that we could request custom cocktails and they happily accommodated us. I also appreciated the chef visiting our table to explain our dishes. Everything was fantastic, just like always!

Hands down, the best dinner I've ever had in Halifax. This restaurant is genuinely unique; I've never experienced anything like it before. Everything about it was absolutely fantastic.

If your looking for an intimate and trendy cocktail spot look no further! This will be your new go-to meet with your BFF, or your dress to impress and dine your hot date spot. The chef is fantastic with his new way of looking at delicious vegetables, and seafood. Ask the Bartender nd Cocktails Specialist to surprise you with something absolutely divine to sip on, as you munch away on a chef prepared journey of small plates. They have earned their spot in the top 10 of Curated Magazine for a reason. Highly recommend!

We could not have had a better experience! Our server (Jerry) was tremendous, took time to understand my allergies and explained what would be safe for me to eat. Neither of us drink, so what originally brought us to Dear Friend was a recommendation that they have great mocktails and it turns out, they do! We really enjoyed the Nono Spritz. When I made the reservation, I added that this was for a date night and Jerry must've read these details when we arrived and asked about what else we had planned for the evening we both loved the attention to detail. We will absolutely be coming back in the new year.

On Dec 12 /23 my partner and I visited as a year ago we had our first date at Dear Friend …. I was completely surprised when my partner asked if I would marry him last night and obviously said yes !!! The waiter had just brought us some bubbly to celebrate our anniversary! The whole bar congratulated us and the staff went way beyond any expectations I had and made the night even more memorable… I think we will be reserving our table for years to come !!!
