I had been craving ice cream from this place for a long time, so when I finally had the chance to go, I was excited. However, I was treated poorly when I asked for ice cream. I waited for 20 minutes while a family was served ahead of me. The man behind the counter started turning people away, claiming he was closed. Another customer wanted to buy two more ice creams for those who were turned away, which was kind of him, but I had been waiting for my turn. The server said he would serve me next, but then got impatient when I asked to try two flavors. He said he wanted to go home, which was shocking to me as someone who also works in retail. Customer service should always come first, even before health and safety. I felt pressured and angry. The man continued to huff and puff as if I was holding him up. Eventually, I went back, and a young male server helped me. However, I waited for 15 minutes while he served others, only to be passed over for someone who had just arrived. When I mentioned I had been waiting, he reluctantly served me with a miserable attitude. I felt unwelcome and believe the staff could benefit from better training or be let go. I also emailed the establishment but received no response. I recommend avoiding this place and hope they improve their customer service before going out of business.
My young daughter and I waited 25 minutes for a fruit smoothie at this restaurant. When we finally received our two cups, they were rock hard and too thick, making it impossible to drink through the straws. I politely asked the rude, scowling, bearded man behind the counter to add more juice, but he responded with aggression and disgust towards his female colleague. We felt unwelcome and noticed that they treated other customers with contempt as well. The staff were poorly trained and rude. We will not be returning.
After discovering that Ben & Jerry's was no longer at Bluewater, I decided to give Joov a try. The line was long and the staff appeared more interested in chatting with each other than attending to customers. I ordered the gelato (vanilla, honeycomb, and strawberry cheesecake), but was given strawberry sorbet instead. When I pointed out the mistake and asked for it to be corrected, I received a grumpy response and witnessed a staff member angrily replacing my dessert. I also noticed that the replacement scoops of ice cream were noticeably smaller than the original ones. While the taste was good, the poor service would prevent me from returning.
Was treated with a mixture of looks by the two people it took to serve me, ranging from disbelieving (when I asked to have chocolate ice cream, which is on the menu), annoyed (when I asked for the toppings) and angry (when I asked if they had tap water). The froyo itself was okay, but not worth having to deal with the service! Avoid
