The food was delicious and we even met a regular customer who was trying the new bistro for the first time. They, like us, were impressed with the portion sizes and freshness of the dishes. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend the bistro to both visitors and locals. Well done Natasha and Jose, keep up the excellent work. The Iron Bark should soon become the talk of the Illawarra.
The menu offers something for everyone with a wide variety of light meals. The staff is friendly and always has a smile on their face. The bar staff is excellent, making it a great spot for a meal and a couple of drinks.
After several poor reviews of the Chinese bistro the club management, listening to its members and guests suggestions, have re decorated the bistro and changed the theme engaging Natasha & Pedro to open the IRON BARK BISTRO offering a viable alternative to all the Chinese restaurants in Dapto. Having eaten twice there since its opening on Wednesday March 8th I was impressed by the quality of the meals and the very pleasant staff working in the bistro the atmosphere has also changed probably because of almost fully booked. I strongly recommend give it a try.
Take your time, the food is decent. It was better when the menu wasn't completely Chinese. Offer some variety for the locals aside from just Asian cuisine.
So disappointing, the chips seem like they are frozen and the chicken in the schnitzel was stringy and tasted awful. We were in a big group and nearly all the plates went back full. Such a waste of food and money and it was so bad I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. I also suggest you find a new lasagne recipe as what you serve is far from it.
