Papa's Place - Daphne

I stopped by on a whim while driving to another restaurant and came across this place, and what a pleasant surprise! I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was fantastic. My wife had the eggplant parmesan, and she loved it as well. We will definitely be returning!

Our waitress soon approached us to take our order for water with lemon and our food. The salads arrived on small plates, and while they were priced at $5.99 if ordered separately, they were quite basic – just a grape tomato and a black olive each. A little while later, I caught the waitress’s attention to ask for our water, and she seemed surprised that she had forgotten it. She brought us two glasses of water, but with no lemon, and offered us straws instead. We noticed that other tables were served bread, so we asked if we could have some too. She informed us that she could bring it, but since we were the next group, she hadn’t done so yet. Shortly after, she returned to our table, and my husband asked for a lemon, which she did provide. I requested a second straw, and she had to leave to get it. Our food arrived about 10 minutes later, and the waitress cautioned us that the plates were hot. However, most of the dishes were lukewarm. The eggplant parmigiana was hot and tasty, but the sauce was thin and lacked flavor. The chicken parmigiana, pasta, and lasagna were quite average – nothing that would inspire me to recreate them at home. It felt like everything was rushed out, as if it had just been reheated. After serving our meals, the waitress didn’t return to check on us. Our small water glasses quickly emptied, and when another waitress finally came by, we had to remind her for the rolls we had requested multiple times. She was kind and tried to help despite having her own tables to attend to, but no one else checked on us after that. In the end, I had to get up and wait at the front counter to request a to-go box and our check. Overall, we were not impressed and left feeling disappointed. We had hoped to find a new favorite spot to return to, but instead it turned out to be an unfortunate experience that left a bad taste in our mouths. I felt it was important to share this honest review in the hope that significant improvements can be made. I firmly believe that a quiet customer is the worst kind, and I want to provide constructive feedback as a willing customer.

After an extensive two-hour wait, our food finally arrived, but unfortunately, most of the dishes were served cold. My filet and potatoes were cold, while someone else's fish was hot, and another pasta dish was also cold. After waiting so long, I didn't have the heart to ask for my steak to be cooked again—I really didn't want to endure another two-hour wait for a meal. Instead, I opted to fill a bottle with wine while waiting for our food. Ultimately, I left and ended up eating junk food at home. I definitely won’t be returning to this restaurant.

I took my girlfriend to eat here the day after Valentine's Day and it was so beautiful. The atmosphere and mood was really romantic and the staff was great. The food was excellent and the prices were not so bad. We'll try something new again. Thank you to the friendly staff.

I order out for the first time. I was a little disappointed. I paid for extra cheese on my pizza and I did not even see cheese. I was suppressed about not having even a regular amount of cheese. I want my cheese. The noodles did not have much of a taste and the sauce is too thick. Did not care for the garlic bread. I may get another pizza and be more specific that I like a lot of cheese. Price is reasonable I guess they are saving money with cheese.
