Locanda Ravello - Danville

Restaurant was extremely loud in a small room and could not hear sitting next to each other. Waiter was aloof and although we indicated it was a birthday celebration, waiter didn't acknowledge it and I had to tell the waiter when he was about to bring the check. Food was just ok. Everyone in the part thought that there was too much lemon flavor in the calamari and the sauce on the pasta of the was too thick.

I had the veggie sandwich. It was on a baguette because the panini machine was broken. I agreed to that substitution. But, the roll was cold, the tomatoes were green and flavorless and the pesto spread and cheese spread were sloppy and squeezing out of the bread. I think it would have been better if the bread were warm and there were more veggies on the sandwich. The pasta dishes looked delicious! The French fries were the best I've had in a long time. But, the sandwich was underwhelming.

It was the best place to celebrate my friend's and my birthday together. We sat outdoors and the ambience and setting was beautiful. We both ordered the wild salmon salad and it was delicious. Our server was wonderful. Everything was stellar and we were happy we chose Locanda Ravello for our special occasion!

Locanda Danville food and service is excellent. Their dining room was packed in close quarters and loud, but a fun loud where friends and family were happy being out. The room could use some softer materials to absorb the noise level. Food, we had the salmon and chicken parm with fresh vegetables and potatoes. Very good. Our server was attentive, thank you and always appreciated and rewarded.

This was a special occasion dinner, a birthday. we were seated promptly at a nice table and our waiter was very courteous and nice. After we ordered drinks and our entrees the entrees came out before one woman's salad so she asked to just take the salad off but they didn't. Then after our desert we were trying to compute the bill (there were six of us with one bill) when the manager came over and said a family had been waiting for our table for an hour. We had been there for less than an hour and a half. We all thought that was very rude, and for that reason we decided we will not be going back.
