Harvey's - Danville

First visit to Harvey's last night. Fried pimple as starter, very tasty. Definitely recommend getting an apatiser as it took a while to get our ducks. I served a few drinks from the bar in front of my hand. Dinner was very good, large portions of pulled pork. We sit at a table in the bar last night, which was unfortunately close to the door... very breezy and sometimes cold. Good atmosphere and service.

This week with a coach. Came with 29 people. Harvey met us at the door and welcomed us. We sat in the back room and had a great lunch. It was buffet style, by Brisket, pork shoulder, potatoes, pork and beans, etc. The food was great. The brisket was cooked for perfection, slightly pulled apart, but not falling apart. Good mix of lean and fat to choose. Although the whole food was excellent, it was not the best part. After leaving, Harvey offered to drive his truck as a lead vehicle for our bus to our next location a distillery about 15 minutes away. He could say that the driver fought a bit on the narrow streets and he knew a simpler way there. He went all the way to the distillery to show us the way! And that's not all.... About an hour later, one of our passengers recognized the left card at Harveys. Without a second, though Harvey drove BACK to the distillery come hand supply the card. Crazy service from a gentleman who is really passionate about his business. The restaurant can be named after his father, but Harvey made his father proud. Excellent food and exceptional service.

Best dam burgers can be found in Danville. Eat here for the first time and come back. Parking is a little pain, but it is worth it.

I really think this is the best food in Danville! Everything's all right at home! I'm a bit hard when I criticize food, so for me this is a place I always enjoy! Service is also top notch! Love sit at the bar with a large list of handmade cocktails!

Randy the server/bartender was very interactive and personable. I ordered a Comeback burger of which had great flavor! It was cooked at just the right temperature (MR) with a freshly made side of seasoned fries. I highly recommend the burger and the restaurant. He we are two years later and the Burger is still great!
