Checkered Pig Bbq Ribs - Danville

The food here is great, and the service here is perfect. The aids were great (forgot 2 meat meals), and were very full. The only comment would be that the brisket and ribs were a little dry, but the sauces they have are great and went well on them. We also tried their Cobblers who were amazing! The costs can be a kind of Pricy, especially with a base price of 17, plus 4 for adding Brisket, but it was really worth it imo. I'd definitely come back here.

The manager is a blast. He comes and checks on customers regularly and even gets into some interesting discussions with them at times. We don't usually sit down and eat late in the evening however I don't recommend going in near closing time as the waitresses can be rather testy and add the wrong drink to your drinks for a refill... I understand it's a long day. But if you don't want to wait on someone near closing don't allow them to sit and eat

Honestly the wait was too long for the food I received. The chopped pork was to sweet, the ribs were dry and barely had any meat on the bone. The best thing I had on my plate were the fresh fries and hush puppies. I won't be back.

Food was good, service was good, price wasn't bad. I had chopped pork, great flavor. Slaw seemed generic but wasn't terrible, green beans were pretty good, hush puppies and fries were also good. My one suggestion for the establishment, clean up the parking lot. Butts everywhere, a broken beer bottle, a baby bib, etc. We almost went somewhere else.

We stopped here on our way home from a weekend vacation. I had the brisket and Amy had the BBQ. We both enjoyed our meal. UPDATE: we just left checkered pig after having breakfast here for the first time. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Very reasonably priced and very good food. We will be doing breakfast here again.
