Bridges Restaurant And Bar - Danville

We did not enjoy our meal there. I realize the restaurant business is very difficult and I don't like to criticize others unless it is really a warning, but I would not return to this establishment. I had heard great things about Bridges for years and in all honesty, it felt like a place that the owners had given up on. It's run down, the food is quite bad, it was not cooked to order, and everything was just unpleasant. Given the prices, I can see why it was so empty. I sincerely hope they revamp the place because of its history.

The restaurant was beautiful as always and the outdoor patio was great. Ordered the brussels sprouts for the appetizer which were delicious, then we ordered a chicken and a steak. The chicken was great, but the steak lacked seasoning and was very plain. That was the most expensive meal on the menu and I had higher expectations. Would've rather ordered two chicken dishes 

Service was pretty bad, restaurant wasn't full, waited almost 20 minutes for our food; had to ask several times for drink refills, no one came to our table to check on us; had to ask for to go containers and check.

It was a beautiful night for outside dining. Our server was friendly and wait staff was responsive. The swordfish was cooked a bit too much, and the Thai Shrimp was not as fresh and crisp tasting as usual. It was a nice experience.

Haven't eaten at Bridges in over 25 years, but went there for the first time and to find out everything was great except for our server. She was not attentive. She was busy wandering around, taking care of other customers and barely came up to the table without having, introduce herself. I had to ask her name she just seemed overwhelmed. Probably not a person I would recommend. She didn't act like she liked her job. It seemed like she just did it just because she had to. That's sad because the food was great and being at bridges is a historical event just because of the movie Doubtfire .
