Breakaway - Danvers

My wife and I have ordered pizza to go a couple of times and we've absolutely loved it. Their pizza is the same as Pisa Pizza in Malden, which happens to be our favorite pizza, so having Breakway on the North Shore was huge for us. As of the time of this posting, they are doing a BOGO for large pizzas (order any large pizza and get a free cheese), and it's one of the best deals out there. I can't wait until we have a chance to actually go eat at the bar once they're able to re-open.

Bartender was very nice and polite. It was a busy Sunday and a function was next door. They had there hands full. The chili appt was nice texture and flavor. It had a good spice to it. I like hot but this was a good amount of spice for most who would try it. The Buffalo Mac Cheese was heavy on the Buffalo . It overpowered the cheese. It was a huge portion. Now way can you eat it all at once . The chicken in it was tender but was cut into tiny cubes and not drips or larger chunks. That meant less chicken . The Buffalo was strong and took away from the cheese and creamy texture. I would go back and order the sauce on the side and add what is tasteful for me. Drinks were good and I got out before karaoke which is always loud. I would go back and try other dishes before I make a final call on this place. The menu was mostly chicken and pastas or pizza. One beef option, tips. I would like to try the pizza . Give it a try. Compare notes

Called 6 days ago to reserve a table for dinner and tonight's band and was told they don't take reservations anymore!!! Arrived tonight at 730 for a 900 show and all tables were reserved!!! Paid $20 cover per person and the band came on 50 minutes late with no announcement, explanation or apology. They packed in so many people you could not move. Much better places to dance and food is less than mediocre

Each time I've visited, the restaurant has been quite empty. Overall, it's an average venue, but there are many other places to enjoy live music where the staff is much friendlier and without any attitude. I wouldn't return simply to steer clear of the staff, especially Kevin.

I attended a fundraiser at this restaurant and had a disappointing experience. While the staff was fantastic, the food was good, the drinks were strong, and the comedians were great, there was a significant issue. Unfortunately, I was seated near the bar where the bartenders were extremely loud, and patrons at the bar engaged in constant chatter. It was incredibly distracting. Seriously, it made it hard to enjoy the evening.
