The reason for this review is because of how the talent at the pool bar treated us and made me feel so very special. Especially the chef Riswikesh!!! Unfortunately, the pool bar closes at 5 o 'clock in the kitchen at 4:30 which I find unusually early from a resort on the beach. There was one gentleman that did Not want to take our order but the rest completely stepped up to the plate and made my experience there beautiful every single day that I saw these other talent. Hue Krishna Sukrati all awesome ? Also, huge shout out to Ken and Judie at the lobby bar, because of them we made sure we always stopped at that bar before going to our room, enjoying drinks, and snacks. My experience at the spa was also very very welcoming. I was greeted by Holly who is just so amazing and welcoming.My massage was with Serene and honestly had I had a massage with her. When I first tgot there I would 've went every single day. !

Beautiful grounds and thoughtful service across all staff. If you’re traveling without a vehicle they drove us to our restaurant in Dana Point for $0. We enjoyed both sunsets and moon sets from our oceanfront balcony. Memorable!

While the club level provided some compensation for the initial mishap, the food prices at the hotel were exorbitant. The club lounge offered a fully stocked bar and a variety of small bites throughout the day, but the hallways were heavily trafficked and not well maintained; we encountered visible food debris, hairballs, and litter. That said, we managed to get a decent night's rest. On day two, we reached out to the front desk again to inquire about the promised connecting rooms, only to be told that we needed to vacate our rooms immediately so they could prepare them for the next guests. They offered to store our luggage for the day, which we found unacceptable. Ultimately, the hotel provided us with connecting oceanfront rooms after lunchtime, forcing us to leave the beach to switch rooms. Although irritating, the new situation was better for our family. The hotel seemed overcrowded, unable to handle the demand. Our shower had drainage issues, and we found stains on the carpet and blankets in the closet. Valet parking cost $70 a day and was often backed up, resulting in long wait times. We also experienced a 45-minute delay waiting for ice delivery to our room. To add to our discomfort, guests below us were smoking on their balcony, which made it difficult to enjoy the ocean breeze or open our patio doors. The pool area was unkempt, with litter scattered around and the water appearing slightly green. The basketball and playground areas also needed attention, filled with old cups and food containers. The beach was decent, particularly for those who enjoy watching surfers, but if you wanted to swim, you’d have to walk to a public beach area. The lifeguards would remind you of this frequently. On the plus side, it felt convenient not to have to lug all our beach gear to the shore, as the hotel provided everything we needed. Having stayed at other Ritz hotels, we were disappointed as this experience didn’t reflect the high standards we’re accustomed to. We sincerely hope the hotel addresses these issues soon, or they risk damaging their reputation.

I enjoyed an absolutely delightful vanilla chai popsicle. If you think it sounds good, let me tell you: it tastes ten times better than you could ever imagine! The creamy chai flavor was simply perfect. The atmosphere of the place was charming and the staff was incredibly friendly. I'm so frustrated that I don't live nearby because I would be there every day!

The service is outstanding! Shae Salgado from in-room dining exceeded my expectations by helping with a special request. I have a friend with terminal cancer visiting, and I wanted to send something to their room. Without me even asking, she consulted her manager to arrange for their dinner to be taken care of as well. This level of service and compassion is truly rare! As an ambassador member, excellent customer service is crucial to me, and Shae went above and beyond in every way!
