Seriously, when an upscale sandwich (Croque Monsieur, for ex or a good burger are $23 (no sides) in Damariscotta, Maine... The food was good (though I'm not a fan of saffron on something like the Croque Monsieur- so ask if you don't like it, either my wife's big salad fresh and good (also $23, no meat) no complaints there, just overpriced. (And my beer... $9.25. Great local beer (though don't think it should be served in a Peroni glass )
We enjoyed the paella for two prepared by Chef Chris. No words convey the unique presentation and savory deliciousness. Our server, Arlie was so fun and welcoming. She helped make our anniversary celebration extra special. Ann’s Book Bistro is treasure; offering an inviting atmosphere and a total dining experience.
We ate the salmon burger and Barcelona omelet for our first lunch here. The food was really excellent as was the service. Also it is the first restaurant where I enjoyed the lovely background music while I dined!!
Tomato and fennel soup was the best we've had in a very long time and the lamb burger will bring us back again....soon!
Amazing food. We’ve eaten here 3 times now, and can’t pick our favorite. Although the tomato-fennel soup today was unreal today. Chris Padel, the chef of some renown from Barcelona and NYC has worked in some of the great kitchens. The whole menu is available at any time since he makes everything from scratch.
