Upon entering the restaurant, we were not promptly greeted. The atmosphere was dimly lit and we were unsure of the restaurant's procedure. Eventually, we were seated and given menus before our waitress left. The only positive aspect was that the margaritas were decent, as my friend ordered one. Unfortunately, after waiting 20 minutes to place our order, we had to pay a different waitress and chose to dine elsewhere. It was disappointing, especially since I enjoy trying new restaurants and experiencing different cuisines.
I realized that my bill was higher than expected, and the restaurant overcharged me by leaving a tip higher than the recommended amount. It was just me and one other person dining in. The food was average, but the ambiance of the restaurant was excellent.
The vegan cactus tacos were delicious. The chips and salsa were also tasty, although we had to ask for them because they weren't on the menu. The Al Pastor and bowls can be made vegan by requesting soy protein and no cheese. The mango margaritas were both vegan and delicious. Happy hour is from 4 PM to 8 PM. All staff were wearing masks.
While traveling on I75, we stumbled upon this restaurant through a Google search for nearby restaurants and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the street tacos, birriamen, and seafood pyramid and were pleased with all of our choices. The portion sizes were quite generous, so be sure to come hungry.
