The only lunch reservation I could get was 13:00. This was shift change, but the greeting (if your name is very pregnant, a total pleasure), Mike (33 years of Veteran server) has all over us. Our experience was great, thank you. I found pictures on the wall of people I've been working with for years. I'm sorry the palm leaves the West End. I loved your location because it was near me in East Dallas, with easy access valet parking. I'm sure the palm will find another address in Dallas. I hope it's a place where I can come without a ton of traffic park problems. Thanks for 30 years of memories!
My husband and I have been in the palm several times. It's always been wonderful. But this night was terrible. Too loud, lousy cooking and from our favorite items. It's planning to close. I think they gave up and had no will to be strong. It was a terrible way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Epic fails and bad memories forever.
Waited for over 7 minutes at the reception before someone noticed that we were there, Christopher (Asst Manager) put us on a dirty and greasy table. Fat and oil on the place rose over my color and jacket. Asst. Manager gave me his business card and told me to send him the dry cleaning bill, his email will be active for the next days. Found CFO of the company and he also gave a business card and told me I'd send him the dry cleaning bill. At the time of the incidents, no excuses were made for bad service and dirty seats. They were from most deserts (because it was their last day) ordered chocolate cake, it was dry like a bone.
Steak was really good, but the wine was too expensive. I've been densing wine with better steak houses, which cost half as much. Certainly, our server should have informed us about the price of wine. $21 for a glass is quite steep.
The quality of the food and service has declined significantly since our last visit. But who cares? The resto is closing for good at the end of the month. Good riddance!
