We started with chips that were accompanied by a delightful bean dip, and there were salsas in squeeze bottles on the table. The red salsa packed a nice punch, but the orange salsa—possibly a mayo-ketchup blend—was fantastic on everything! You absolutely must try the pupusa, priced at just $1.99 each. It comes alongside some lightly pickled cauliflower and a tomato sauce, and it’s delicious—hard to beat at that price! The pork chop was cooked to perfection and well-seasoned, served with a generous portion of tajadas, which are round slices of fried plantains topped with cauliflower, salsa, and cotija cheese. The chicharrón was incredibly crispy, reminiscent of Filipino lechon kawali—perhaps the best we’ve ever had. Everything we ordered was excellent! The yuca was also prepared wonderfully. Leylita is the true definition of a hidden gem. We will definitely be back, not only to enjoy the same delicious dishes again, but also to explore their soup offerings and try a few items from the breakfast menu!
The restaurant is very unclean, and there is no customer service. The prices are high.
