Kuby's Sausage House - Dallas

Living on old people's memories. Quality of food has gone way down. The only thing that is outstanding is the frosted beer mugs and the ice cold beer. The mushroom sauce for the schnitzel comes in a little ramekin, asked for extra, and never did get it. They don't even serve bread anymore, used to get a big basket of bread and butter. O well, another great restaurant bites the dust.

Atmosphere was really cool, but service was cold.food was pretty good, but the prices will prevent me from going back. 17.00 schnitzel is outrageous.i cannot speak for the sausages. that may be the way to go there- if we return i will certainly try a few different kinds and report back

I returned to Dallas recently and went to Kuby's. Ever since I entered the doors back in the sixties I had nothing but superior quality food and service. I went with a friend to grab some steaks for the grill. Before we shopped we ate lunch in their cafe. The schnitzel sandwich and warm German potato salad were delicious. Fresh and prepared perfectly. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive.Steeping into the shop we selected filets and a container of fresh tomato salad.Needless to say they grilled up fine and tasted great.Pure enjoyment! Go to Kuby's and try it for yourself. You'll love it too

The food here disappointed me. I'm from Germany myself and this is definitely not authentic. More of a US/German fusion. If you have ever visited Germany: Don't expect too much. The potato salad was warm and very odd (more like a stew) most places in Germany serve it cold and either vinegar or mayo based. The only thing I liked was the potato pancakes. The staff was very friendly and attentive though, so I'm giving a couple of stars for that!

Decor was very German-like and the market was small but had so many necessities that you would want! Food was pretty good and I really loved the fact that they gave you wasabi to enjoy your meal with. A super cool concept but it works so well and complements the meat dishes!
