They hardly had anything that I requested on the menu and we came pretty early around brunch time. We visited Dallas for the weekend, so this was our first stop not a great first impression.
Drinks were great, may I suggest try the old-fashioned. Theirs is a little different and awesome. The food is good. Great place for a night out but not for a business meet up. It was a little loud and hard to hear each other. But this place had outdoor seating that may have suited us better except for the 106° heat.I will eat there again when visiting Dallas.
I usually don’t write up a negative review but this took the cake. The area is very touristy and a lot of photo options. The restaurant looks great. Yet the service was poor. My husband asked for inside and the young lady took us to a seat that touched to the outside. We informed her inside. She seemed bothered by it. Drinks ? Maybe we ordered the wrong ones. I asked for shrimp and nope out cause they are closing down. I think there are things we can share with a customer before they order; especially if they are running out of stuff due to closure. Then I had to ask for napkins and silverware ??. When it was time to leave I also had to get a waitress after looking around and starred at our waitress who did not even pan the room when she walked in passing us. The kicker they charge 20%tip onto your total and then have the audacity to ask for tip again. My husband didn’t appreciate the automatic tip. Maybe that’s why this one waitress was not as eager. This is not our normal experience in restaurants. Sure hate this happened. Love the venue they are in but hopefully the next restaurant or lounge/beer joint is better.
Racist service from this bartender (Andrew) specifically. As I stood there at the bar waiting, he proceeded to tend to 2 white guests behind me who apparently just walked up. When I made mention of it, Andrew became very hostile as he asked what I wanted to order. I asked for a burger and an old fashion, and he smirked while pouring nothing but sweetener and an ice cube before handing me my drink. He told me that I would have to come back into the bar to pick up my food, however, my Hispanic friend ordered the same meal and was sitting outside with me when he brought his food directly to him with utensils. Andrew told my black friend the same thing that she would have to go back inside to pick up the food.To make matters worse, the next day, I noticed several unknown pending charges with varying amounts.1/10, would not recommend!
Cold beer, great drinks hibiscus Ricky) but service kitchen wise was not really the best! We ordered the seasonal shortbread the cake part came out ice cold 3 times! Our bartender was frustrated too :
