There wasn?t a crumb left behind! We tried the Nutty Honey and Lord of Pies (apple) alamode. Best apple pie I?ve had in a long time. Crust was thick but I thought it paired well with the high stack of thinly sliced apples and the homemade vanilla icecream which kept it from being too dry. If you?re a fan of peanut butter desserts the Nutty Honey was creamy and packed withpeanut butter flavorful! Our total came out to almost $18.
A cute pie institution in the heart of Deep Ellum : This place has been on my food bucket list for some time now and I?m glad I got the chance to try it out. We came in the afternoon which wasn?t busy at all. The interior was very beautiful, almost like aboutique house. The main attraction was the pies though. I tried the drunken nut a-La-mode, which came out to be $10. It waspricey for a small slice and some ice cream, but it was definitely quality. Delicious. If anything, I wished it to be a bitcheaper or the portion size larger, but it?s hard to find a fault here.
So yummy! Their pies are tasty and have this homemade feeling to them. The crust on every pie is crispy, flaky, and extremely delicious! The environment has a very homey feeling to it, it?s inviting and cozy, which highlights the experience all together.Emporium Pies is definitely one of my favorite pie places.
This is a cute little pie shop. The pie slices were wrapped really nicely and the wooden forks were the perfect touch. We were less then impressed with the three different pie flavors that we tried. There were no favorites and the slices were slightlyoverpriced in my opinion.
