Doce Mesas - Dallas

This place was super fun, i was visiting and the food was authentic, the drinks are strong and tasted amazing. I highly recommend this place. The staff was super fun and really friendly . Will surely be back when i visit dallas again. Convenient place and easy parking as well

The food itself is average at best. The meat often lacks flavor or is dry, and the tortillas are tough. On the other hand, the drinks are pretty good and strong, which might explain why some people keep returning. Overall, it seems like a place where the goal is to be seen, or perhaps people just stop by after shopping in Knox. Honestly, it's all just hype. I would never bring an out-of-town guest here and claim it's authentic Tex-Mex. It definitely has that Dallas vibe—nice décor, but it falls short on flavor and personality. The business strategy seems to be about keeping the place small to create a sense of popularity with long wait times, but no one should need to wait over an hour for mediocre food. Plus, the air conditioning dripped water on me.

The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, but it's quite small and crowded, making it very loud. The food was enjoyable overall. My favorite dish we tried was the carne asada nachos (which I didn’t get a picture of). However, the brisket taco was rather dry and lacking in flavor.
