Denny's - Dallas

'The new normal. ' So had a layover in Dallas so the wife and I decided to get a quick New Years bite while waiting for the next trip out. After waiting about 20min to get seated, we noticed a hurried staff. Once seated we got our menus and drink orders. There was a sign at the entrance to be kind as they were short staffed. Clearly they were. We ordered our meal, sipping coffee and watching 5 people working feverishly to serve customers quickly as possible. 2 young men in the kitchen cooking, 1 of which looked brand new. 3 ladies completely hustling and singing along to the music and a young man who appeared to be a converted busser who was taking orders and running food. They were all working hard and together. They were smiling and they were trying to have the best attitude possible! Oh and no one had time to mess with their phone (or even tried to make time) Our food came out, and while the order wasn 't exactly correct the food was good for Denny 's so I really can 't complain. 5 stars and incorrect order? Sure. It was New Years, they were short staffed but they all worked their tails off with a smile. IMO, they had more reasons to give shoddy service and bad attitude. ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING! (Post note) Immediately purchased something in the travel store and while the cashier was ringing me out, puts her cell phone In selfie mode and starts fixing her eyelash! RIGHT. IN. FRONT. OF. ME! Denny 's did the most Flying J doing the least.

This is my first time visiting Texas from VA and I went here and the manager, Monty is an amazing person. He has an incredible team of people working along with him. I ordered the ultimate omelette and I had a taste for French toast. Everything was delicious. Monty is a very nice person and he is very professional and so is his staff. The two young men that were cooking are superb. Can't wait to visit again. Please stop by. They won't disappoint you.

Whomever was cooking the morning of 10/21/2016 had made the BEST Sante Fe skillet I ever had! Every time I visit Denny's I always stick to eating what I've already tried before, and I've been to different locations and had the same skillet, but that was the best. Even my girlfriend raved over her Grand Slam. This may seem small, but there was a big difference in the taste. A good breakfast can do incredible things for your day. Not to mention that the hostess was funny, upbeat, checked on us almost every five minutes to make sure that we were okay, and I didn't catch her on her cellphone or sitting down once (how i've noticed at other locations). Our waitress kept our refills coming with a smile, and she brought our food back within a timely matter. I most def reccomend this location. Friendly staff, great food, easy access to the freeway, and plenty of laughs and jokes in between.

The service here is outstanding! I understand the shortage of workers and all of that, so I am OK with waiting. This morning crew is working it all out with a smile and the music is AWESOME! Thanks to my server Donald and the hostess Sharita for making this Friday morning sparkle!
