Steph's Southern Soul - Dade City

We wanted to try Steph’s during the Kumquat Festival. While they were very busy, we didn't feel rushed, but were treated with a kind greeting and had several staff at the table to make sure everything was good. We had both fried chicken, potatoes and chicken dumplings. Everything was just fantastic. There are several other ducks that looked good, including ribs, meat leaflets, pork and fish. Can't wait to go back and try one of them. We were just too full to have desert. Next time we will park in the restaurant so we can reach the desert. Your saying: “It’s what it is” is quite right. It is only great southern style cooking and hospitality.

The food is so good! The staff is great! So sweet and so helpful. Those desserts just top off an already 5 star experience! Thank yall for a great meal!

This was a tiny little restaurant that didn’t look like much when we first pulled up but everyone who worked there (and the customers) were so completely kind. Very family friendly. It’s deli style so you pick the foods you want and they either place it on a plate for you or make it fresh to order. The food was delicious, hot and home made. My family and I were tasting each other’s plates because EVERYTHING was amazing! Especially the catfish I usually hate catfish but it was fried perfectly.

Excellent food, staff was extremely kind and attentive. What a gem this place is. We will be back again and again.

The best Southern Soul food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. And the people are very friendly. Love this place!
