I was visiting my mother who lives in Hemel and was looking for a place to have coffee. We came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try since my mother had never been there before. I have to say, it was a delightful experience. From the friendly person who greeted us and explained the process, to the volunteers who took our orders and served us at our table, everyone was so welcoming and gracious. The interior was charming and relaxed, with old bus seats being used as tables which added a unique touch. My mother had a wonderful time and has already recommended it to her friends. I hope she becomes a regular customer, and we will definitely be back the next time I am in town. Congratulations to everyone involved in creating such an inclusive and inviting community space.

We went for a casual lunch and had a great time. We highly suggest trying the croissant with ham and melted cheese. The pot of tea seemed to last forever, and they even provided a free pot of hot water for refills. This restaurant welcomes everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, which is a rare and generous business model. We will definitely return.

The staff at this restaurant are fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the food is delicious. Even more impressive is the mission of this place to empower and support people from all backgrounds in the community. A real hidden gem.

Have walked past many times thinking must try this out. Finally got there today it’s so lovely. Very welcoming and cosy. The cakes are homemade and would recommend the victoria sponge perfect. Proper cups, saucers and tea cosies so no lukewarm last cup from the pot! The staff are volunteers and it gives the feel of a place they really want to be. Will be using this instead of the usual chains for that regular pick me up.
