Purple Pie Place - Custer

Our favorite favorite... Will be back as often as possible

Stopped in for lunch after visiting the park, we were greeted and sat quickly. The service was good, friendly, and the food was fresh. I got a panini and took half with me, portions were large. We had to try the pie and the raspberry jalapeño rhubarb was amazing. Thanks for a great lunch!

The restaurant has limited options at the end of the season. The plastic forks provided are not strong enough to handle the pie crust. However, the pie a la mode is delicious.

The pies here are amazing! Definitely give the berry jalapeño a try. They also have fantastic chicken sandwiches on the menu.

Our family of seven, spanning four generations from Texas, enjoyed dinner at the Purple Pie Place while visiting Custer and exploring the Black Hills area. Upon seeing the array of pie options, my daughter and I decided to share a sandwich and indulge in a slice of pie. We tried the Turkey Panini and found it to be delicious. The rest of our family ordered the Chicken Pot Pie, Mac n Cheese with Bacon, Chili-Cheese Dog, and Chicken Salad Sandwich, all of which were also tasty. However, the real standout was the homemade pies. We savored the Peanut Butter Pie, Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, and Strawberry Rhubarb Jalapeno Pie. The Strawberry Rhubarb in particular was absolutely delicious. My daughter couldn't get enough of the Peanut Butter Pie. Our grandsons enjoyed their ice cream in waffle cones, describing it as yummy. We were so impressed with the food that we decided to dine at the Purple Pie Place again on our last night in Custer. Once more, the pies did not disappoint. The server was friendly, and we were pleased to see the same person both nights. The restaurant itself is charming and immaculately clean. We highly recommend dining at the Purple Pie Place!
